May start for air link with Cambridge

The city of Cambridge and its surrounding areas is home to a population of some two million people

A NEW air route linking Jersey and Cambridge is to start in May.

Airline Blue Islands will operate the direct flights between the two destinations during the summer months.

The weekly air link, which will operate on Saturdays, is to begin on 12 May and will run until 15 September. The route was set up by Jersey-based firm CI Travel Group.

And flights between Jersey and the Irish city of Cork are to resume this summer.

The Aer Arann service, which will be run under a franchise with Aer Lingus, will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays between 5 May and 9 September.

Please no more spin , the Cambridge route is not a new route it is just being restarted and the Cork route is an old established link again not new.Cambridge will bring in approx 50 visitors a week for the short season and whilst very welcome hardly worth shouting about.

Sod the visitors, I wouldnt mind visiting cambridge if its as nice as the photo. Tourists can go both ways you know mallouin.

Shame it,s not Easyjet, Blue islands are so damn expensive! Along with that other airline we have. Will this route come in at under 200 pounds for a round trip? 3 times a week would be nice for a shorter break, though Cambridge is such a beautiful town with atmosphere.

Some people seem to miss the point here , Cambridge is a CHARTER starting at Cambridge , weekly service bringing approx 50 visitors by a travel agent . This is not a scheduled service.
