The Price is right in Queen Street
Thursday 28th June 2012, 1:00PM BST.
Charlotte Volante (17) was one of the first to have her book signed
SECURITY guards and police officers were called in to handle an excited queue of Katie Price fans at a busy book signing in town yesterday.
A queue of 150 adults and children gathered in Queen Street for the chance to meet the former glamour model Jordan at Waterstones.
Miss Price was signing copies of her eighth fictional novel, In the Name of Love, on only her second visit to Jersey in the last ten years.
I didnt realise there were so many sad people around.

With all due respect, you should think before you comment! Miss Charlotte Volante if you are not aware, is wheel chair bound and judging by the smile on her face is really excited at meeting Katie Price, I wouldn’t class Miss Volante as being sad.

Pauper you have made me feel extremely guilty I do apologise to Miss Volante.

Davyecc,
We are not all perfect, I have in the past made some awful cock-ups. I am sure you didn’t realise your mistake at the time.;-).
I thank you for not taking my comment the wrong way.

At least we know she can sign, unlike writing…

good grief, another slow news day at the JEP, covering a book signing by a “Z Lister” that nobody cares about, may as well have covered the story of my missing rabbit “Flopsy”!
Given that there’s a lot of vivid descriptions of humping in her books, is it a good thing that children are queuing up to buy her latest offering?

Such a shame that there are so many small minded negative people in this little Island, what have the critics ever achieved?
Admittedly she’s not everyones cup of tea but she has done something with the brains and body (enhanced albeit) that she was given.
She is attractive, fairly articulate and wealthy, she recently held her own on news night…..what more do you want?
She has sold more than 5 million books. Its not very often that a ‘celeb’ comes to Jersey, so why not report it?
live and let live under achievers….

Under achivers are the people that live their lives following Celebs rather that trying to to something of their own. It is sad to see that 150+ people can gather to see someone like KP, rather than for something more meaningful.

Miss Price may not be your cup of tea, but there’s no need to criticize and demean people who do happen to like her! I can’t say that I’ve always agreed with certain things she has said or done in the past, but I do respect her for being a strong person and wish that I could be as successful as she has been in business!

It takes all sorts Frog….some people under achieve (that’s how you spell it by the way!)because they didn’t do very well at school at didn’t have the support and chances that others had, everyone in this World has different aspirations and abilities….you would do well to remember that.

Frog
What a ridiculous comment!!

Wow, there seems to be so many commentators out there who feel they could do better….a huge untapped source of talent by the sounds of it!!!
I’m not a KP fan, in fact, there are not many celebrities that I do like…..but credit where credit is due….she took time out to sign a few books for her fans and whether or not you like it…..she IS an inspiration to a lot of young people.
…and she is SUCCESSFUL in what she does!
My niece was “made up” for meeting her idol and so were a lot of kids her age.
Why can’t some of you people be positive for a change….it didn’t cost YOU a penny for this so why all the negativity!!?
