Damian Rzeszowski is escorted into the Royal Court for Tuesday’s hearing

DAMIAN Rzeszowski appeared in the Royal Court for the first time on Tuesday just days before he is due to stand trial for the Victoria Crescent murders.

Handcuffed to a police officer and wearing a yellow and green jumpsuit, the 31-year-old was taken into the back of the court building for a pre-trial hearing amid tight security.

Rzeszowski, who was flown back to Jersey on Tuesday morning after being held in a location in the UK, is accused of murdering his wife Izabela (30), his children Kinga (5) and Kacper (2), as well as his father-in-law Marek Garstka (56), family friend Marta de la Haye (34) and her five-year-old daughter Julia.

The six were all stabbed to death at the flat Rzeszowski shared with his wife and children at Victoria Crescent in Upper Clarendon Road on 14 August last year.
