All busy on the Homelife front

The Lieutenant-Governor, General Sir John McColl, and Lady McColl, cast an eye over the JEP after opening the show
MORE than 10,000 Islanders are expected to the attend the Jersey Evening Post Homelife Show this weekend.
The three-day event, which was officially opened by the Lieutenant-Governor, Sir John McColl, features cooking demonstrations from three Michelin-starred chefs, produce from Genuine Jersey members and, of course, all the inspiration home owners could ever need when undertaking a renovation project.
Meanwhile, the JEP stand features aerial pictures of the Island as well as the opportunity for youngsters to have their photograph taken with children’s page bear Jepson.
Homelife Show director Julie Settle said that she was looking forward to a busy weekend. She said: ‘We had a good queue of people waiting for the show to open at 12 o’clock and there are a lot of people out there looking around and buying products already, so that’s good for the exhibitors.’

Went up today; far less to see than previous years, far fewer people; and heard one stand operator commenting that it was so slow a couple of traders had already gone home.

What an utter letdown this show was, same old, same old, tat that has been in all the other shows. Charging £3.50 to get in was daylight robbery. Never again will I be duped into one of these shows

Such ashame, i was really looking forward to it,weather was pants so i thought visiting the Homelife would lift my spirits…..

The entrance fee was far to expensive for what was there , I saw lots of un happy traders I think the Jep and organiser got very greedy !!!!

Complete waste of money, nothing there that you can’t find by walking round town. We ended up having to pay to park then pay to get in only to find that we were basically looking at nothing. Never again.
