A WARD has been closed to new patients and visiting has been restricted after a suspected outbreak of Norovirus at the General Hospital.

A vomiting and diarrhoea bug has affected several patients so far and intensive cleaning has started to try to stop it spreading further.

Staff restrictions are also in place on Bartlett Ward, which has been closed to admissions, and members of the public with symptoms that could be caused by the virus have been asked to stay away from the Hospital.
