£150,000 – and still counting
Sunday 25th November 2012, 5:00AM GMT.
Former racing cyclist Torty Hubert (76) is congratulated by Paul Hurley as the oldest participant (and one of the fastest)
TWO months after arriving in Paris following an epic journey from London on two wheels, the Bedell Anthony Lewis cyclists learned that they had raised £150,000 for charity.
The figure was revealed at a reunion for the 112 cyclists, among them a number of stroke survivors, including former JEP assistant editor Anthony Lewis.
All of the money raised will go to the Stroke Association and Driving for the Disabled Jersey.
