THREE Les Quennevais pupils are the toast of Jersey after winning a Channel Islands’ quiz.

Team captain Joe Harvey, Naomi de Gruchy and Harvey Bentley lifted the under-16 trophy after defeating Guernsey’s Elizabeth College in the final of the De Putron Challenge.

Not only did they defeat teams from other Jersey secondary schools in both the States and fee-paying sector to represent their Island, but they also beat the cream of Sarnian students.

The winning team in the 16 years old and over was from Elizabeth College. They beat a quartet from Jersey College for Girls made up of team captain Hannah Jauncey, Emily Moore, Taye le Monnier and Arianne Morin in a closely-matched final
