A YOUNG Jersey actor, comedian and writer has won an international scriptwriting competition and had his short film screened in London this week.
Adam Blampied’s script, Godfont, was chosen by Roman Coppola – the son of legendary Hollywood director Francis Ford Coppola, who co-wrote and directed The Godfather – as one of four winning pieces from more than 1,000.
Roman Coppola then directed the short film, which was screened last night in London.
Mr Blampied (25), who went to Victoria College, is now rehearsing for a run of plays with the Grassroots Shakespeare Company as well as preparing for next summer’s Edinburgh Fringe festival with The Beta Males – a mostly Jersey troupe of comic sketch actors.

Nothing to moan about here so we don’t have the usual multitude of negative posts.
What does speak volumes however, is the dearth of lack of compliments for a young local doing good.
Congrats young man is all I can say.
