Property badly damaged in lightning strike

A property in St Brelade was severely damaged when it was struck by lightning last night.
Major internal and external damage was caused to the house on Mont Sohier, with debris strewn across the road way. No one was hurt.
It was one of a number of homes in the west of the Island hit during last night’s storm.

It doesn’t looke like someting hit by lightning to me.
Lightnings are of “strings” of plasma having temperature of tens thousands if not million degrees centigrade. It usually causes fires if hits any flamable (wooden) construction – while there is no visible evidence of any high temperatrure on this picture.

Yeah, but what’s likely happened here is is travelled through the block work causing it to move and in the process twist/pop a chunk of plasterboard out.

Lightning struck a block chimney causing it fall through the ceiling by the look of it!

At the point of impact lightning causes massive shockwaves that we can hear and feel, the damage was caused by a shockwave not by the lighting itself

It’s obviously an alien crash site, the missing plasma burns are clearly proof that the craft was powered by graviton pulse wave technology. Notice how tts were on the scene within minutes to collect the craft and take it straight to the tunnels.
My mate mick Le crotte (name changed to protect the innocent) told me all about it in the pub the other night.

Ligtning usually hits highest point like a chimney. What you see in picture could be the result of masonry falling through the roof?
