A HOSPITAL ward has been closed because of the ongoing outbreak of the winter vomiting bug norovirus.
The Health department has announced that it has closed the Corbière medical ward at the General Hospital to new admissions to stop the spread of the virus. The Bartlett Ward, which was closed because of norovirus some time ago, reopened on Monday last week.
In a statement issued on Friday afternoon, the Health department said that Hospital patients with norovirus-like symptoms were being isolated and reminded Islanders who thought that they had the virus not to go to the hospital or to their GP.
