Oversight takes alcohol off Pizza Express menu for month
Saturday 22nd December 2012, 2:40PM GMT.
ALCOHOLIC drinks will not be available to customers at Pizza Express for a month from Christmas Eve because the company forgot to renew their liquor licence.
The chain, which has restaurants in St Helier and St Brelade, made a late representation before this year’s final Licensing Assembly yesterday in an attempt to get authorities to allow a renewal after the 2012 deadline had passed.
The Licensing Bench retired to consider the late application, but returned and refused the last-minute request.
