A JERSEY nightclub which was due to close within weeks has been temporarily saved after an internet outcry from clubbers.

The venue will now stay open until March. Last week the manager of Pure, at the Weighbridge, Martin Hodson, announced that he was calling time on the dance music venue because venue owners Randalls wanted the building back.

The news was met with disappointment from Pure regulars, many of whom then took to the social networking website Facebook to share their sadness at the closure along with memories of the 11 years that it had been open.

The response on Pure’s page on the site persuaded Mr Hodson to keep the venue open for three more months in the hope that he will find new premises from which to operate.
