Police officers cleared of misconduct charge

The three States police officers who faced disciplinary charges over the investigation that brought down drugs baron Curtis Warren have been cleared of any wrongdoing.
Following a hearing conducted by an independent Chief Constable and held in private, the three officers – Chief Inspector David Minty, Inspector Louis Beghin and Detective Sergeant Lawrence Courtness – have today been cleared of any misconduct.
They bugged a car being driven by one of Warren’s accomplices through France, Belgium and Holland without permission from the foreign authorities.
