A REPORT that branded former TV presenter Jimmy Savile as one of Britain’s most prolific sex offenders says that he may have committed five offences against children in Jersey.

Savile, who died in 2011, has been labelled ‘a prolific, predatory sex offender’ in a joint report released yesterday by the NSPCC and the Metropolitan Police.

It says that there have been 214 criminal offences recorded against Savile by 28 police forces, and that 450 people have come forward, and that the recorded crimes include 34 rapes and 126 indecent acts.
