A TRAINEE nurse who hit a girl in the face with a bottle – causing serious injuries – may have ruined her planned career in healthcare.

The Magistrate’s Court heard that the 21-year-old cracked the victim’s tooth and potentially damaged a second tooth in the incident at a house party on 30 December.

the defendant admitted committing a grave and criminal assault and was sentenced to 120 hours’ community service and ordered to pay £4,595 in compensation.
