Island Games: Athletics on Day 6

The women’s athletics team have added another gold and silver medal to their haul at the NatWest Island Games in Aland, with success in the relay events.

Day 5 of the NatWest Island Games competition in Aland closed with a tally of 20 gold, 28 silver and 11 bronze medals.

The Jersey team made it to the top of the table briefly on Day 4 of the the NatWest Island Games in Aland.

Island Games: Day 3

Jersey went into second place on the Island Games medal table on Day 3.
 

Island Games: Day 2

Jersey won four gold, six silver and one bronze medal on Day 2, putting them fourth on the medal table behind Gotland, Aland and leaders the Faroe Islands.

Jersey take honours in annual yacht race

JERSEY took the honours in the annual Kleinwort Benson Yacht Challenge on Saturday as IRC class entrant Tom Bombaldil took the class win and victory overall.

HUGE cheers marked Jersey’s entrance into Aland’s athletics stadium on Saturday night with their 197-strong team – by far the biggest contingent of athletes sent by any one nation to this year’s Island Games.
