JERSEYMAN Peter Vincenti is being supported by 13 friends and family at tonight’s fourth round Carling Cup tie against Manchester United – and he hopes 13 will turn out to be a lucky number.

he former Jersey Footballer of the Year and his League Two Aldershot team-mates face a daunting challenge against the Premier League champions at the Ebb Stadium and Vincenti hopes to get a start, having scored his second goal of the season on Saturday.

The 24-year-old said: ‘It’s a massive game for everyone at the club and, obviously, all the players want to be involved. The manager is not naming the squad until later today so as yet I don’t know if I will be involved or not.’
