Jersey Rugby Club made it seven successive wins in National League One on Saturday.

Playing at the home ground in St Peter, the Island side beat Tynedale by 26-8, with two late tries giving Jersey four in all and a bonus point.

Tries were scored by Michael Le Bourgeois in the first half and Guy Thompson, Charlie Clyde-Smith and Jim Brownrigg in the second.

The visitors also scored a late try but it was not enough to close the gap.

FOOTBALL
Jersey are also celebrating a narrow victory in the second round of the FA Inter-League Football Cup.

The Dandara Jersey Football Combination beat Essex and Suffolk Border League 1-0 at Springfield.
