St Brelade's Olly Nightingale is challenged by Dennis L'Enfant of Jersey Nomads

ST BRELADE completed a league double against Jersey Nomads to maintain their place at the top of Championship on Saturday.

At the FB Fields, the Westerners did not have it all their own way against a weakened Nomads and only a late goal finally gave them the comfort of a two-goal cushion which they held to win 3-1.

Nomads, who slipped a place to fourth, worked extremely hard in the second half, especially after they had Tony Riley sent off eleven minutes into the half following a high tackle on St Brelade defender Luke McGlone.

It was never a dirty game, just competitive, and James Walsh fired St Brelade ahead in the eleventh minute from a penalty kick after a needless foul by Ross Davison on the corner of a penalty area.

Kudos for caietrng a blog post on this topic. There is not enough information written about it (not particularly helpful anyway). It is encouraging to see it getting a little bit more coverage. Thanks again!
