CHAMPIONS League qualifiers Sligo Rovers are to play against Jersey at Springfield Stadium next month.

The League of Ireland football champions, who won their country’s Premier Division for the first time in 35 years in November, will visit the Island for a five-day training camp ahead of their new season which commences in March.

Sligo Rovers’ pre-season training trip to Jersey will include a challenging warm-up match for the Jersey squad ahead of their trip to San Marino, where they will represent England, for the next stage of the Uefa Regions’ Cup.
