JERSEY international hockey star Beckie Herbert has been selected as part of the England squad travelling to South Africa to take part in the Investec Challenge tournament at the beginning of next month.

The week-long tournament, which is to be held in Cape Town and starts on 4 February has the England side facing competition from Olympic gold medallists the Netherlands, Australia and the hosts, South Africa.

Herbert’s last cap for England was back in 2011 as she has spent the last couple of years training as part of the Great British squad preparing for last summer’s Olympics.
