Muratti final date switch

FIXTURE congestion in the Channel Islands has led to this year’s Muratti Vase final being pushed back a fortnight to be played on Saturday 18 May.

After receiving a request from the Guernsey Football Association for a different date, the Jersey FA, through the Inter-Insular committee, agreed to move the final from Sunday 5 May to Saturday 18 May.

Charlie Tostevin, the JFA’s representative on the Inter-Insular committee, said: ‘It works out well for all the islands. Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney and our sponsors are happy to change the date due to fixture difficulties in Jersey and Guernsey.’
