JACK Maitland, who is best known for coaching British Olympic Gold medallist Alistair Brownlee as well as his younger brother and World Champion Jonny, will be visiting the Island this weekend.

Maitland was an international elite athlete himself until a few years ago and now coaches a number of quality athletes including the Brownlee brothers.

He will be running coaching sessions for junior triathletes at the FB fields on Saturday morning and will speak to athletes at a question and answer event hosted at Jacksons Garage in St Peter on Saturday evening where he will share some insight on what it takes to be an Olympic and world championship winning triathlete.
