Lions bid for historic cup win in Hampshire

Les Quennevais Lydian Lions travel to the UK on Sunday for their Hampshire Cup semi final clash against Portsmouth.

The match will be held on the neutral pitch of Trojans RFC in Eastleigh, kicking off at 2.15pm, after Les Quennevais RFC earned a place in the last four after beating St Jacques from Guernsey 66-13 and then Island rivals Jersey United Banks 50-12 in the quarter-finals.

    How is this historic? United Banks won the cup last year and Les Q won it a few years ago. This isn’t anywhere JRA teams haven’t been before. Check your facts JEP

    Check your facts Rolling. Banks won the Plate in 2012 (3rd Tier trophy), Les Q won the Bowl in 2003 (2nd Tier trophy). No Jersey club ever won the Cup (1st tier).
