Club suspends full-back after foul play
Thursday 31st January 2013, 6:41PM GMT.
Full-back Barry Davies
JERSEY RFC’s Wales international full-back Barry Davies has been given a two-week ban by the club following an incident in the closing minutes of the RFU Championship victory over Rotherham Titans last Saturday.
Club officials reviewed the relevant footage from the match at St Peter and decided that there was a case to answer regarding alleged foul play. This led to the instant imposition of the ban, which runs until Tuesday, 12 February.
The incident is believed to have sparked the confusing mêlée in the centre circle which eventually resulted in play being halted for the sin-binning of lock forwards Dave Markham of Jersey and Dan Sanderson of Titans.
